Visit Tahoe City California

Take a Tour of Lake Tahoe

I have lived at Lake Tahoe since 1995. Like many others, I came here because of the amazing outdoor lifestyle that we incorporate into our busy work day. Maybe you are looking for a weekend retreat from the bustle of city living? Perhaps you are exploring making the transition as a full time resident? I would love to be your local expert on what it is like to live in Tahoe City, California.

Located at 6,225 ft (1,897 m) Lake Tahoe is the 6th deepest lake in the world. It is the 2nd deepest lake in the US. Lake Tahoe was formed 2 million years ago and is known for its crystal clarity and surrounding white shores. Two thirds of its 72 mile shoreline is in California and one third is in Nevada. Rising up from these beautiful shores are majestic mountains of forests, laced with ski and hiking trails.

A typical day for the locals can begin with cross country skiing through groomed trails in alpine forests. We might lay a few tracks on the ski slope before the tourists arrive. Paddle boarding on Lake Tahoe, Donner Lake or the other reservoirs nearby are also great ways to start the day. The lifestyle, clean air and abundant recreational activities offer visitors and locals exercise all year long.

Buying a Home in Lake Tahoe

Since 1999, I have been helping visitors to Truckee and Lake Tahoe make their dream of home ownership a reality. Lake Tahoe has local ordinances and special nuances of high altitude home ownership. Each neighborhood offers something different based on its location. I am steeped in all aspects of real estate in our community, have helped with short sales and property management. Assisting you in selling and buying, I will negotiate the best possible price on your behalf.

Autumn at the Lake

The enormous amount of aspen and desiduous trees at Lake Tahoe, intermingled with the breathtaking pines, means autumn arrives in flashes of red, gold and orange. Set against the brilliant blue of the lake and sky, autumn at Lake Tahoe and Truckee is a spectacular time of year. Often, we get an Indian Summer at Lake Tahoe. The temperatures can stay pleasant all the way until the big snow begins to fall in January. Every season at Lake Tahoe arrives like a photo op in an outdoor magazine and each season is special.
